Snow Day
On Friday the 9th it was a snow day!!! On the snow day my mom, dad little brother and I went outside to shovel the snow. Then my brother slid down the front steps like he was on a slide. I said “let’s make a hill to sled down.” Once we were done we sled down it like 15-20 times. We had to go inside but, we came out again later and we invited our neighbor, and he said yes. We were out there for another hour. That was it for Friday. On Saturday we went to play outside and our friends were at our door wondering if they can play outside with us, we went outside at about 12:00 am and went inside at about 6:45 pm. Sunday however we slept in until like 12:30, we were not able to keep the hill so we shoveled it away. That was the best weekend ever!

The Mystery of the Moving Package
It’s 11:30 A.M. and Bob just arrived at his third customer’s house. It’s the middle of spring and all Bob has to do is clear some roots from a pipe. “This should be an easy one” Bob though. Just as Bob finished feeding the camera line down the pipe, a Tastey Pastry van pulled up next door. The delivery man left a package of a dozen cupcakes on the front step, rang the doorbell and left. A couple minutes later he notices that the package is moving off the door step and towards the street. Bob immediately gets up and starts to run toward the package when all of a sudden, he trips on the cord and falls flat on his face. He gets up to put the package on the doorstep then he goes back to work. As he’s working he here’s a thud. He turns to look towards the noise and he sees that the package is half way to the street again. He runs to lift the box and he notices that there are a group of ants underneath it. As he’s walking the box to the doorstep the neighbor walks up to him from behind and says “is that package for me?” “Yes” Bob says as he hands the neighbor the package. Once the neighbor was inside Bob says “HA! Take that ants” when he realizes that the ants and his toolbox are already across the street. “Hay, get back here right now!” Bob says as the chase begins.

Blackfish Opposing View
I said orcas should not be in captivity but because this is the opposing view I will be taking about why orcas should be in captivity. I think orcas should be in captivity because the workers can give the orcas a check up every now and then. Another reason I think they should be in captivity is so other people can come and see them. My last reason I think orcas should be in captivity is because they are great animals for performances. Those are my opposing view reasons but, I hope you choose that orcas should not be in captivity.

Blackfish Review
Earlier this week in Ms. Huary’s ELA class we saw the movie BlackFish. It was a documentary on how people don’t want orcas in Seaworld. All the orcas in the movie had problems however, Tillicum from SeaWorld was the most trouble. Telecom badly hurt or killed several people in the movie. Seaworld employees and news reporters say that it was a trainer error that caused their deaths, while family of the trainer or other viewers say that it was the orcas being in captivity that was the problem. It made me sad to see how people capture and transport the orcas to SeaWorld. After seeing how SeaWorld treats the orca‘s I don’t think I’ll ever want to go to SeaWorld.

Non Fiction vs Fiction
Nonfiction informs you or tells you real life events and fiction is make-believe. Examples of nonfiction books are biographies, books on historical events, a how to, or books that inform you about nature. Examples of fiction books are fairytales, comic book or any book that contains monsters. Fiction and nonfiction have some similarities. Here are some examples: they’re both books, there they both teach teach you something, and they can both be found in the library. My favorite type of book to read is fiction. I like fiction because it’s more exciting and the author actually gives you detail and something to imagine. Yes nonfiction informs you but fiction is fun and exciting to read.
Christmas Break
Over Christmas break my family and I went to Florida to visit my aunt, uncles, cousins, and great grandma. We left New Year’s Eve and just made it to the hotel with a little bit of time before the fireworks started. We walked around looking for the best spot to watch the fireworks and found it on a bridge halfway to the main building and we stayed there for the fireworks display. Couple days later my family and I went to Legoland there were two main rides there was a roller coaster called “costasorce” and another roller coaster that kind a look like a top going up and down a giant half pipe while spinning. My family when that one however I did not, I refused to go on their that. A few days later we are counting down the days before we go home and my little brother says “I want to go to the pool!” and that’s where we went. We stayed at the pool for about two hours then, it started getting cold and we went back to the hotel. After six hours of driving and two hours of flying we finally make it back home and go to bed at about midnight.
New Years Resolution
A New Year’s resolution is a promise or goal that a person makes for the new year. Some examples of a New Year’s resolutions people make are, to get better grades, to do better in sports, and to save more money. A New Year’s resolution can last days, weeks, or months. I made a New Year’s resolution to keep me from getting cavities. Another reason that I made this New Year’s resolution is so I can be as healthy as I can in 2018. My New Year’s resolution is to stop eating candy. This will be very difficult for me because I love sour candy. This New Year’s resolution will start after my birthday and I will end it on the last day of this year.
